One Injured After Armored Truck and Flatbed Collide on Highway 156

Monterey County, CA (4/9/2020) – A man from San Jose was seriously injured Thursday morning after his armored truck hit a flatbed on Highway 156. The crash occurred around 9:15 a.m. near Oak Hills Drive between Prunedale and Castroville.

According to the California Highway Patrol, both trucks were heading west on the highway the flatbed truck veered right into the side of the armored truck. The flatbed truck then flipped on its side before it came to a stop. Emergency responders rushed the driver of the armored truck to Natividad Medical Center. The other driver only suffered minor injuries.

Police are still investigating the cause of the accident. So far, no other information has been released.
