Man Dies in Two-Vehicle Crash on North White Road

San Jose, CA (4/13/2020) – San Jose Police are investigating a two-vehicle accident that left one man dead in the Alum Rock neighborhood. The crash occurred around 4:20 p.m. at the intersection of North White Road and Gion Avenue.

According to Officer Gina Tepoorten, a black 2017 Nissan Rogue was attempting to turn left onto Gion Avenue when it was struck by a green 2002 Volkswagen Passat heading south in the northbound lane of North White Road. The Volkswagen rolled into several parked cars before coming to a stop. The driver of the Volkswagen, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

Police say the driver of the Nissan stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
